The Transmission
A transmission is an automobile gearbox that can alter gear ratios. It is of both type: automatic and manual.
Most automatic transmissions have a set collection of possible gear ranges, often with a parking pawl attribute that will lock the output shaft of the transmission.
Comparison of automatic and manual transmissions
Automatic transmissions are more amiable for drivers, particularly beginners. An automatic transmission (commonly known as "AT" or "Auto") can change gear ratios automatically as the vehicle moves, freeing the driver from having to move gears manually.
